8. Superintendent /Principals Report

a.      Driveway/Parking Lot we have $11,000.00 in Health/Life/Safety that I had put into this year’s budget for safety projects. We could use this to start work on the drainage, pot holes and the drive on West side of school.

b.      Bus Contract- I have been in contact with Durham some more and we are looking at a contract that will have only one bus route. With the saving over the life of 2 year contract we could by a short white bus to take to events that anyone with a license could drive.( 35 to school on bus)

c.       General State Aide Program and next year’s Budget As you may have seen in the news. Our projected loss will be over $43,000.00 in GSA. We also got notified that all government agencies we overpaid CPPRT- Corporate Personal Property Tax. We receive $1410.29 more than we should have.

d.      PARCC testing- it over! A few glitches, but not as many as last year. Results are supposed to be returned to us in a more timely manner early fall.
